Customer Overview
Marquinton operates a self-managed warehouse in China, supporting both retail store replenishment and e-commerce order fulfillment for its children's apparel business.
The warehouse handles two key operational flows:
- Returns processing
- Outbound e-commerce order fulfillment
- Outbound retail store order fulfillment
Products range from small apparel items to bulky seasonal clothing, with dimensions up to 500 × 400 × 100 mm.
Challenge
Prior to automation, all sorting operations were performed manually.
Managing both forward and reverse logistics within the same facility created operational complexity, particularly during peak periods. The warehouse required a solution capable of:
- Handling large volumes of outbound orders and returns
- Processing products of varying sizes, including bulky winter garments
- Supporting both B2B store replenishment and B2C e-commerce fulfillment
- Improving throughput and accuracy without requiring extensive warehouse modifications
Solution
HyperLeap deployed a HyperSort robotic sortation system occupying approximately 66 m².
System configuration:
- 18 HyperBot autonomous sorting robots
- 24 sorting destinations
- 2 standard loading stations
The solution was designed to support multiple workflows within a single platform, allowing operators to switch flexibly between outbound order sorting and returns processing.
Results
After implementation, Marquinton achieved:
1,980 items per hour
High-throughput robotic sorting supporting daily fulfillment operations.
99.99% operational accuracy
Near-perfect sorting accuracy, reducing shipping errors and improving customer satisfaction.
90% slot utilization
Intelligent order splitting maximized sorting destination utilization and system efficiency.
Unified fulfillment platform
A single automation system now supports both forward and reverse logistics, enabling efficient management of B2B store replenishment and B2C e-commerce fulfillment within the same warehouse.
